2023 black friday travel deals that can’t be missed

Let’s talk about Black Friday travel. Benefits of giving the gift of travel

This black Friday actually has some great travel deals- this could be a great time to jump on 2024 travel on good deals.

We’re not saving the best for last

First and foremost- Going is $25 off for the year, so essentially half off. We’ll leave a link in the show notes but this is the time to grab it. Only $25 to try it out for the year- this is the time for sure.

Just a reminder for what we’ve used Going is, we’ve gotten a $350 Christmas flight to Paris, a $400 Christmas flight to Portugal, $400 to Greece and we’re very sad not to be able to take advantage of the flights to Central America for $300 in the Spring- our schedule just won’t work out. So needless to say, we love it!

Cruise Deals

If you remember when we talked about the different types of cruising back a few months ago- you’ll recognize quite a few of these names.

Virgin Voyages has 30% off their cruises and up to $600 in a bar tab. The thing I like about their bar tab is that you can share it with the full state room. Usually everyone has to buy one and this way you share it. So if you have someone who doesn’t drink nearly as much, it’s a fantastic way to save money on a drink package.

You can find out all about our Virgin Experience here

Celebrity Cruises, maybe our favorite cruise ever, 75% off the second guest plus up to an additional $600 off the cruise price. I know when you hear that, sometimes you don’t come up with much but you never know- we got our 7 night Greek Island, all inclusive (including drinks, wifi and tips) for $3000. I thought that was an incredible price for what we got. We also added on a couple nights in Athens (which you can do with cheap “cash” rates or use points and miles to get some amazing hotel rooms) to stretch it into 10 days in Greece.

Variety Cruises- we may honestly take advantage of this one. These are adventure, small boats that go to exotic ports (can’t be accessed by the big ships)Tahiti, Cape Verde, West Africa, all for around $2600 a person for 8 days. A little more expensive than some of the others but those are bucket list trips for sure.

Flight Deals

Frontier has their unlimited pass back again. This is $499 a year (though it will renew for $599 a year) and comes with silver elite status (free bags and seats) if you book before the 30th. There are some catches with this. I always suggest checking out terms and conditions but some ones that jump out to me are: blackout dates, the fact that you can only book 24 hours in advance and that it doesn’t cover taxes and fees. On budget airlines, the majority of the price can come from taxes and fees so it might not be saving you as much as you think.

Aer Lingus is $100 off international flights to Ireland

Qatar is up to $150 economy and $350 premium classes (QATAR was our favorite economy flight we’ve had).

TAP- a budget airline out of Portugal is offering $400 roundtrip tickets to Europe and $450 to Africa.

Southwest Gift cards will be available at Sams for $100 off as well (for $500) so if you have a few flights coming up- stock up!

Other Travel Deals

TourRadar- a company that points you towards many different big tour companies, like Intrepid, G Adventures, Exodus, etc.

-I found a 12 day trip in Vietnam by a “gold” rated tour company for under $900 a person.

-A 10 day Christmas tour in Europe, to 7 different countries for under $2000 a person.

-A 10 day Best of Southern New Zealand tour for under $2000 a person

If you really want to go all out on a bucket list trip to places like Uganda, Peru, Ecuador or trekking in Nepal- reach out to us. We have some great relationships with some companies that offer truly bucket list experiences in these off the beaten track destinations and we’d love to put you in touch with them.
